Who
We Are
We are a POC, Queer led death & creativity studio that amplify inclusive, diverse experiences through design.
Our
Values
-
We create in Community, for Community. Everyone is a teacher, everyone is a student. We can learn from each other’s experiences.
-
May we honor the multiplicities within our container. May we practice deep listening, being heard, holding, being held.
-
If at first we don’t succeed, take the lessons and decompose the rest — creating new futures can be messy. May we practice curiosity with a childlike wonder.
Our Guidelines
We begin with death. In order to become new, a part of oneself must die. We begin with grief. To know grief, is to know love. We remember with gratitude. No one is left behind or forgotten.
We know more than we know. We don’t know all, but together we know a lot.
We honor puddles. We honor goop. We honor process above all else.
Rest is our greatest experiment; we learn how to discern, when to ebb, when to flow.
There will be food, there will be laughter, there will be joy. Even parties are prayer.
Time is a justice issue. We are practicing awareness of how we give and take space/time in relation to others.
We acknowledge different communication patterns and value different communication needs. We listen to be curious and to understand, not to agree or to judge.
We express our boundaries and needs, but we never have to explain why our boundary is what it is.
